The Shonai Peninsula popping out to the northwest of Kagawa Prefecture,
A black building that you can reach by going along the coast.
It seems that the wood produced in the prefecture is colored with a method called “Yaki-Sugi” (burnt Japanese cedar).
Opening the door, you will meet furniture that feels good to the touch.
Each one of them is handmade by a local craftsman.
When I’m ready to go out into the city after a short break, a bus or rental car will pick me up.
The driver, of course knows the area well.
Backing at the inn, fish from the nearby fishing port will be on the table at dinner.
Staying at the inn means to be involved with the local people.
This place makes me feel that.
Next time I come back, I’ll say “I’m home.”
Because here are people who say “Welcome home” to me.
